Katrina and Alex’s Wedding Ceremony, St. Andrew’s Church Kowloon

Katrina and Alex went to the same university in the UK, yet they never crossed paths. After returning to Hong Kong, they finally met at a friend’s party. It’s an inexplicable wired feeling that you’ve known this person forever. They share many things in common – they were born at the same hospital, went to the same school, and have very similar personalities.

Katrina doesn’t talk much, and feels anxious speaking in front of a group of people. Before the ceremony, her heart was racing and her palms started to sweat. She knew too well that Alex must be very nervous too, awaiting her in front of the altar.

Their wedding ceremony was held at the St. Andrew’s Church in Tsim Sha Tsui. I’ve been there many times but that’s the first time I came again after the refurbishment of the exterior had been complete. While appreciating the restoration work done, I thought of the most special moment of Katrina and Alex’s ceremony – the nervous couple summoned up the courage to make the solemn promise to each other in front of their closest friends and family. Her eyes began to fill with tears. The bond between the two is incredibly moving.
